An afternoon rain storm delayed the start of the program to 8:00 p.m. with features only on the schedule, including make-up features from June 17. After brief hot laps sessions, the Mod Lites 10-lap feature hit the track. J.T. Joiner was seeking a repeat to his Sept. 16 victory and held the lead until a lap 5 caution. During the yellow, joiner experienced gearbox issues and reytired. Jeff Bonnema, who had moved past Terry Joiner on the lap before inherited the lead. The race ran clean to the checkered as Terry Joiner held off the challenges of Yuri Tulchin while Bonnema was able to move away for his first East Bay feature win.

Rain returned during the parade laps of the V-8 Warriors makeup feature and ended the program. Racing continues October 7  with an extra distance event for the 604 Late Models plus Outlaw 4s, V-8 Warriors, Gladiators and Florida Old Time Modifieds.
