Bob O’Leary

East Bay Raceway Park wishes to extend condolences to the friends and family of Bob O’Leary, known to many as OSF (Old Sunshine Fan). Bob passed away on Thursday, October 21 at the age of 76.

Bob was a frequent visitor to East Bay Raceway Park, arriving early and sitting in the handicapped seating area. He was an ardent supporter of racing in all classes and enjoyed making friends with fans and racers who shared his passion for the sport.

Bob was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on March 9, 1945. His family moved to Florida and Bob attended Dixie M. Hollins High School. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and returned to Florida as a law enforcement officer in Pinellas County. He later served as National Safety Director for MV Transportation.

At Bob’s request, no services will be held. He also requested no clapping and crying either. Bob will be laid to rest at National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Race in Peace OSF.
