Winternationals Just One Week Away

The 45th annual Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park will feature five weeks of racing, starting one week from today on January 19.

The first on-track will see five nights of competition, highlighted by the UMP/EBRP Modifieds and the ultra-competitive Street Stocks with the winner’s purse building to the Saturday finale. The Modified winner will take home $1,000 on Tuesday and Wednesday with the victorious driver’s share moved to $1,500 for Thursday and Friday. The final night will bring $5,000 to the winning driver. Street Stocks will race for $400 to win on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the Friday victory increased to $500. The Saturday finale will pay $1,000 to the winner.

Last year, Kevin “Buzzy” Adams of Cameron, Wisconsin, picked up the Saturday win and the big check. Shane Burrows captured a pair of wins with Tennessee racer Lucas Lee and Devin Dixon, who won opening night, claiming single tallies.

Richie Stephens dominated the Street Stocks, winning four of the five mains, finishing second to Thomas Pratt in the only event he did not win.
